SARAH STEWART CHAPIN (Christina) is thrilled to join the cast of Medicine The Musical.  Favorite credits include Tenn (Rose) at the ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop in L.A., Footloose (Ariel Moore) and How to Succeed… (Smitty) with the Scranton Shakespeare Festival, The Lonesome West (Girleen) and Spring Awakening (Martha) at the Keegan Theater in D.C. Yale University Class of ’17.

ETHAN CRYSTAL (Blake) is thrilled to join the medicine team! Favorite credits include The Sing Off, Season 3 (NBC), For The Record: The Brat Pack (Norwegian Cruise Lines), Heathers: The Musical (Staged! / Triangle Productions), The Last 5 Years (Oregon Contemporary Theater), American Idiot (Triangle Productions), and Uncle Henry in the Carnegie Mellon School Of Drama’s production of The Wiz. Singer/Arranger/Videographer for Apartment Sessions, Writer of TV pilot, “1. Backpack” (Official Selection, Portland Comedy Film Festival). Ethan is a writer, freelance musician, and internet image curator from Portland, OR. BFA Carnegie Mellon (Vocal Performance), 2015. GREGORY DRISCOLL (Tyler) is delighted to be back playing the role of Tyler, which he performed in the staged reading of Medicine the Musical in 2017. He is originally from Austin, Texas. In the theatre world, Greg’s favorite credits include: Donkey in Shrek: The Musical (Broadway Theater of Pitman), Matt in The Fantasticks (Angelo Civic Theater), Tim in Debbie Does Dallas (Michael Mckelvey/Doctuh Mistuh Productions), and Hades in Persephone (Vortex Repertory), a role which he actually originated. Greg is also a part of the rising gay pop duo Fab the Duo with his boyfriend Brendan. Greg would like to thanks his family, friends, and you for all of the love and support! @thegregdriscoll

EMILY ESPOSITO (Ensemble) is thrilled to be part of this new musical at HERE Arts Center. She recently performed her original two woman show Summer in the City: songs from shows we didn’t book this season, to a sold out crowd at both the Duplex and Laurie Beechman. Other favorite credits include Fame National Tour, Evita; John Engeman Theater, Hello Dolly; Riverside Theater, West Side Story; Gateway Playhouse. Thank you to Michael, Kelsey, and Josh. A special thank you to Joey who she is so happy to finally work with. Thanks to the friends that are seeing this, Mom, Dad, and Nana.

MATTHEW FAIRLEE (Ensemble) was most recently seen off-Broadway in The Boys From Syracuse as Dromio of Syracuse alongside his real life twin brother. He was also in the TheatreWorks USA national tour of Junie B’s Essential Survival Guide to School in spring 2017. Other credits include Footloose at Theatre Workshop of Nantucket, Cole at the Saint Vincent Summer Theatre, Winterfest at Carowinds, and full summers at the Forestburgh, Shawnee, and Millbrook Playhouses (2013-2015, respectively). MARINA LAURENDI (Tiff) is so excited to be scrubbing into Medicine the Musical! She was last seen as Dyanne in Million Dollar Quartet at Forestburgh Playhouse. Regional Credits: Hair at ‪Pentangle Arts (Sheila), Tarzan at Jenny Wiley Theatre (Jane), Ghost at FLMTF (Molly US/Swing), Gypsy at MusicalFare (Louise), and Carrie: The Musical at ART of WNY (Carrie), and Shout: The Mod Musical at Forestburgh Playhouse (Red Girl). Marina holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Niagara University. She is also a singer/songwriter who is always looking to collaborate on artistic endeavors! ALAINA VI MADERAL (Ensemble) is from Austin, Texas and is super excited to be making her New York City debut in Medicine the Musical! Regional credits include: In The Heights, Singing In the Rain, Sophisticated Ladies, The King and I, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Mary Poppins at ZACH Theatre; West Side Story, In The Heights at the Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma OTHER THEATRE: Texas’ All State Show Big Fish ADDITIONAL CREDITS: Studied Dance and Gymnastics at The Dancing Center Unlimited II. Alumni of Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester 2018 and ZACH’s Elite Pre-Professional Company.

DAN ROSENBAUM (Prof. Crutch) is “x-static” to be a part of this amazing new production. He was most recently seen originating the role of Stompanato in Screeching Weasel‘s Punk Rock Opera, Baby Fat, at LaMama Theater in NYC. Previous credits include: Roger in Rent (North American Tour), Radames and Zoser cover in Elton John & Tim Rice‘s AIDA (North American, China, and Taiwan Tours), Miss Saigon (North American Tour), Sunset Boulevard – Regional Premiere starring Stefanie Powers (Ogunquit Playhouse), Chuck Cranston in Footloose (Tuacahn), and Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar (La Comedia). Dan is also the lead singer and bassist for the punk/pop band SugarDust ( He is a proud alumni of Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. ISAAC RYCKEGHEM (Dr. Cutter, Sr./Mr. Thanatos/Dr. Dole/Ensemble) is excited to be making his off-Broadway debut with Medicine the Musical. After graduating from the University of Idaho, Isaac attended as part of the inaugural class at The Institute for American Musical Theater. Credits include: Franz – The Sound of Music (National Tour), Dr. Frankenfurter – Rocky Horror Picture Show (Harris Theater), and Che – Evita (Lewiston Theater). John Barry (Guitar) is a professional guitarist born and raised in NY. After graduating from Berklee College of Music with a degree in “Guitar Performance”, John has worn many hats in the music field. Whether it’s teaching music or playing music, John works hard every day to push his limits of musicianship. John’s dream is to one day be a Broadway pit musician! He has played countless musicals all throughout NY and is very excited to be able to get a chance to play Medicine the Musical!

Billy Smolen  (Bass) is a dynamic performer, passionate educator, and in-demand bassist on the NYC/NJ scene. A North Jersey native and William Paterson University Jazz Studies /Music Education graduate, Billy prides himself on the diversity of his musical resume. Some highlights include: Performances with 80’s pop Icon Taylor Dayne, Rap-Rock Legend Darryl McDaniels of Run-DMC, and Rob Fusari (Producer, Lady Gaga). Billy’s performances backing up various ensembles have been broadcast on ABC news as a part of their PRIDE NYC-2017 parade coverage, and CBC Radio 1. Currently, he maintains an active teaching and performing schedule in the tristate area. He is a freelance pit musician, offering his upright and electric skills to off-Broadway, Regional, and Cabaret acts such as: More Than All the World, Why is Everyone Laughing? (MAC nominated cabaret), and Shaken Not Stirred: the James Bond Cabaret experience. Outside of the theater world, he regularly performs with multiple jazz ensembles and small groups, and as a member of the ska-punk power trio Joker’s Republic. Billy shares his love of music and passion for education through his private studio where he teaches both bass and guitar lessons, and as a member of the School of Rock Montclair faculty.

Derek Swink (Drums)  received his education at Western Michigan University where he studied with Keith Hall, Judy Moonert, and Billy Hart. While studying jazz in college, he found himself playing in regional musicals productions and found a love for the pits. Since moving to NYC, you can hear Derek performing with world-class musicians in the pits, in late night jazz sessions, and on recordings with bands like Drown Your Boots and Dizzy Bats.

Nick Wilders (Keyboard, Conductor ) is also the Music Director.
